Great to hear from you. I'm editing a short story about a man who attempts to fix his relationship by writing a program to predict his girlfriend's behaviour.
I am tinkering with stuff. I started to flesh out something that Adam read last year during my tutorial and it ground to a halt. I haven't dropped it but need to think more about it... Your story synopsis sounds interesting, but I am wondering if the guy is doomed to fail.... I saw a video today which sparked off a lot of ideas for me so there might be something there to inspire me.
